The fort is the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, one of Rajasthan's greatest warriors. The wall is 15 feet wide and reaches 3,600 feet at its highest point. Within the fort complex, there are 360 Jain and Hindu temples, the most famous being the Badal Mahal (Cloud Palace) with its beautiful interior murals.
